The right person for the right job
Everyone appreciates the essential role that a decent, well-paying job plays in providing us with the basic necessities and comforts in life. However, most would agree that our work provides us with so much more than a weekly paycheck. It is one of the primary ways we define ourselves as adults. Work provides structure and meaning to our daily lives, opportunities to learn and grow, interaction with others, and the opportunity to develop friendships that we can also enjoy outside of the workplace.
Community Options, Inc. is a private, non-profit agency that assists people with disabilities living in Hampshire, Hampden, and Franklin counties of western Massachusetts in finding and enjoying the benefits of meaningful employment. The agency focuses on individual job placements, ideally close to the person’s home. We work with local employers if either training or extra supports are needed. It is important to us that both the employee and employer are experiencing a positive working relationship.
Funding is provided through the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, MRC (Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission), school systems, and private pay.
Further exploring this web site, you will see that Community Options, Inc. has had a long history of standing beside people with disabilities. Over the years, we have expanded our services to meet the changing needs of the people to whom we have made commitment.
Our office (located at 442 State Street in Belchertown, MA) is open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
